When life is hectic our minds move the same way too: agitated and it takes a toll on our nervous system. We can get easily overwhelmed, tired and fatigued, holding tension and pain in our muscles.
Now...Imagine a space where you can receive the benefits of massage and restorative stretches in a small group setting.
As a certified Thai massage practitioner and Neuromuscular Therapist, movement therapy has been something that I have gravitated towards over the years.
Last year I assisted in a Thai massage training at the World Massage Fest and had the opportunity to meet with the founder of Yomassage. I was so intrigued by this concept, that I wanted to investigate some more. I knew that introducing this modality would be a perfect fit for my clients at the Apex Retreat. At the Apex Retreat, we specialize in a wide array of modalities that help our clients recover from trauma and chronic pain.
Our clients receive regular massages as part of their wellness regimen - as such, I knew that our clients would highly value this unique approach.
The beauty of Yomassage is that one can relax into restorative positions while the Massage therapist provides a hands on approach that helps to soften tight muscles and release tension for overall balance in the body and mind.
You will also learn self-massage techniques and ways to carry the restorative and relaxation effects with you no matter where you are.
The “Yo” in Yomassage is based on the principles of yoga: focus on the breath (pranayama) and the yogic philosophy of looking within. The combination of touch, gentle stretch, and mindfulness provide an avenue for relaxation and healing.
If you want to...
- Enhance flexibility
- Deeply relax your body
- Slow down and still the mind
- Balance your nervous system
- Enhance your mood
- Improve overall health and wellness
- Then Yomassage is for you.
